November 2008

I rescued Anna and her mate Bananna from a wildlife rehabb center near Nashville, Tennessee. I was on a clinical rotation in order to receive my Veterinary Technician's degree. They had been found, abandoned, and tied together by their legs in the parking lot of a city park. Because they are domestic breed, the rehabb center could not keep them. So I brought them home to my menagerie. That was about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, Bananna isn't with us anymore, but Anna has become the Grand Dame of the Yard. She keeps everyone in line. And would brood all the eggs if I allowed.

I love all my animals, especially my birds. I turned my Dad on to raising a backyard brood and he loves it ,too. Well, I have taken enough of your time, Thank you for the newsletter. Becky W.
