Thanks to Pamela deMarrais from Tennessee for sending in this photo of her chicken house "I
live in Tennessee, and have 5 cochin bantam hens, one bantam Frizzle
rooster, and three young standard hens. I spent a lot of money having
a little house made for the bantam hens and rooster, so I got resourceful
with the chicken coop for the standard hens. I went to a sawmill
and bought forty dollars worth of rough sawn boards, and built a
house to fit some free cast off roof trusses, making it 4' x 8'.
My husband helped me assemble it, but I cut all of the wood myself.
We lined the inside with tar paper, and shingled the roof with some
leftover shingles."
